Conclave

Hello, coming at you from one of the BE hotel rooms at Conclave in St Louis this year. I'll give you a little rundown of what happened this year at our National Business meeting, for those of you who were not able to attend.

Goodie, Alex and I got to St Louis at about 10 pm. We spotted the other car with Marty, David N and Kevin 2 hours, but we still beat them down here. Apparently the highway ends. Who would have thought.

There was a speedskating conference at the hotel as well. One of us who shall remain nameless wondered if Yoko Anton Ono was present. That would be difficult, seeing as the world class skater Apollo Anton Ono is probably not in the same location as the Beatles. Anyway, we tried for some of the rest of the night to find the free internet we were told about, without success.

Official Fraternity Business was the order of the day Saturday. Myself, Goodie and Marty were our delegates. Agenda item 1 passed, Agenda Item 2 passed (though we voted no) and Agenda Item 3 did not pass. Yes, I know that is vague, if you would like any more information I would be happy to explain. You can check the National website to see the new National Officers, Shannon Wagers is our National President. There were a couple new guys elected, so that was exciting.

We teamed up with the West Virginia Chapter (who some of us went to lunch with) at the close of business to try and get the Chaters out east a Fall Gathering bid past the deadline, but to no avail. Though I am sure we continued the reputation we have seemed to developed at Conclave as of late.

Then there was National Officer Instillation and a Ritual, then we all went for dinner at Hometown Buffet. Though it rained later, we split off and found our way to Happy fun world/lazerquest/zone/arena something something fun park. Where we looked around and played mini golf. There were many great shots, drop balls, happiness, some frustration, and about what you would expect from mini golf.

We will be heading back tomorrow. See you then!
